The wave of knowledge and information in the 21st century has brought profound changes to society, compelling universities to make continuous efforts to adapt to new digital environments. In response to these changes, our university was founded in 2002 with approximately 1,000 students across five departments, pioneering the era of remote education as societal demand for flexible learning grew.
As of 2025, celebrating its 23rd anniversary, our university has grown to become Korea’s largest cyber university, with around 49,000 graduates and 20,000 current students across 41 departments. Furthermore, in August 2024, we became the first cyber university in Korea to launch a Ph.D. program and ranked 6th globally in the Culture/Value category of the Global Top 100 Innovative University Rankings, once again transforming the educational paradigm. Beyond being a leader in cyber education, we have established the “HYCU Next VISION 2030+” strategy to pave the way for new advancements and growth. Based on the life cycle of urban architecture, this course provides an integrated curriculum that combines diverse smart construction technologies such as urban engineering, architectural engineering, BIM, and GIS and thus teaches professional knowledge, skills, and experiences that can be used in a digital transformation era.

Admission Scholarship Management Principles
- Our school operates various scholarship systems as follows to ensure that all students can benefit.
- The admission scholarship is based on the principle of prepayment, and the scholarship is deducted first when paying tuition.
- Entrance scholarships cannot be applied in duplicate. If you are eligible for multiple entrance scholarships, please apply for the scholarship with the highest benefit rate.
